Bill was born on 20 October 1920, and he died 17 December 2011.  He is survived by his wife, Audrey, sons Mike and Steve, daughter Karen and two grandchildren.  His fine collections of Cleridae and Buprestidae were donated to the W.F. Barr Entomology Museum, University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho.
